Sileby Arts Festival
Tuesday, 27 September 2011
Three of my paintings appeared at St Mary's Church in Sileby, for a charity arts festival to raise money for repairs to the church's tower. The missing bit on the tower can be seen (or not) clearly from a distance.
Most of the painting work was in the dino-stlye, and a local oil painter felt the need to tell me he wouldn't purchase any of my work. There was plenty of crafty pieces on display too. I hope the event raised a good portion of money for the repairs as its a nice building. Jemma and the rest of the people involved did a really good job organising the exhibition.

People seemed quite interested in my titles but, I think, less willing to engage with the work, like its a bit stifling to look at. It really isn't abstract!
